Doves is an alternative rock band from Manchester, England, formed in 1998. The band originally started as a dance band influenced by the Haçienda but reformed as Doves after their studio burned down, resulting in the loss of all their equipment. The lineup consists of twin brothers, with one on guitar and vocals, the other on drums and vocals, and a third member on bass, vocals, and guitar. Doves were active until 2010, went on hiatus, and then reunited in 2018. During the hiatus, Jimi Goodwin released a solo album, while the Williams brothers regrouped as another project.
