Down Beats is a musical group hailing from Hartford, CT. Originally formed in 1954 under the name "The Stardusters," the group features members Barbara Knight (vocals), Brian Steinberg, Melvin Thomas, Ted Thomas, Barry Steinberg (vocals), Robert Christianson, Jim Steinberg (bass), and Bob Kammann (drums). They are related to the publisher and were probably later renamed.
