Dr. Paa Bobo, born Kwaku Agyapong Danemah on September 11, 1951, in Akyem Maase, Eastern Region of Ghana, was a celebrated highlife musician. He began his music career in 1968, collaborating with renowned guitarist Smart Nkansah, which allowed him to hone his guitar skills that later defined his musical identity. After gaining experience under Nkansah, he formed his own band in Nigeria. Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Paa Bobo worked with notable groups such as the Okukuseku International Band, All Brothers Band, and the Kusum Agoromma (now known as the National Theatre). He toured extensively, performing in countries like Nigeria, Ivory Coast, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Holland. With 40 albums to his name, he is best remembered for his hit song "Osobro Kyee." Dr. Paa Bobo passed away on December 28, 2013.
