Drakkar Nowhere is a musical collaboration between Daniel Collás and Morgan Phalen, known for their expansive and boundless sound that captures the essence of an undefined journey. The duo began creating music in the summer of 2012 in a rented apartment kitchen in Stockholm, Sweden, where they were inspired by the enchanted forests of Bagarmossen and Midsommarkransen. Their project quickly attracted the attention of nearby musicians, including members of Dungen and The Amazing, leading to a collaborative effort that shaped their debut album. Collás and Phalen later took their recordings to New York and Los Angeles, allowing new influences to blend into their work. While in LA, they collaborated with the unsung 70s singer-songwriter Ned Doheny on the track "Higher Now," whose warm vocals add a unique touch to the song. Drakkar Nowhere's music reflects a journey guided by the light of the sun and stars, embodying the spirit of Swedish psychedelia and a sense of exploration.
