Drew McDowall, born on January 28, 1961, in Paisley, Scotland, is a musician known for his diverse contributions to the music scene. In the late 1970s, he co-created The Poems with his then-wife and became a member of Psychic TV in the 1980s. Additionally, he tour-managed The Shamen and worked with the band regularly for several years before officially joining them in 1995, remaining until his relocation to the United States. As a solo artist, he performed under the name Screwtape, which is not related to the Andrew McIntosh project of the same name. He has also been a member of the groups Compound Eye and Captain Sons & Daughters. Drew has a daughter named Keri from his previous marriage to Rose McDowall, known for her work with Strawberry Switchblade and Sorrow. Currently, he resides in Brooklyn, NY, and is active in the modular electronic music scene.
