Drew McDowall, born on January 28, 1961, in Paisley, Scotland, is a musician and producer known for his diverse contributions to the music scene. In the late 1970s, he co-created The Poems with his then-wife and became a member of Psychic TV in the 1980s. He also tour-managed The Shamen and was an official member of the band from 1995 until he relocated to the United States. Additionally, Drew has worked solo as Screwtape and was part of the groups Compound Eye and Captain Sons & Daughters. He has a daughter named Keri from his previous marriage to Rose McDowall, known for her work with Strawberry Switchblade and Sorrow. Currently, Drew resides in Brooklyn, NY, and is active in the modular electronic music scene.
