Duane Eddy was a renowned guitarist known for his distinctive twangy sound. Born on April 26, 1938, in Corning, New York, he became one of the leading instrumental performers during the late 1950s and early 1960s, achieving numerous hits on both sides of the Atlantic. Eddy was married and had a daughter, and he was also a grandfather and great-grandfather. He was inducted into The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1994 as a performer. Duane Eddy passed away from cancer on April 30, 2024, in Franklin, Tennessee, USA.
