Dungen is a Swedish rock band formed in 1999 and based in Stockholm. Often classified as progressive or psychedelic rock, the band is fronted by a singer/composer who writes all the music and plays some of the instruments on their records. However, Dungen performs live as a four-piece band. The frontman, who began his songwriting career in his teens with hip hop, is supported live by a Swedish progressive rock veteran on guitar, along with a bassist and a drummer, with the previous drummer having been replaced.
