Dur-Dur Band is a musical group hailing from Mogadishu, Somalia, founded in 1984. The band features a diverse lineup of talented musicians, including Isse Dahir Qassim on keyboard, Abdulahi Ujeeri Ajami on bass guitar, and Adan Mohamed Ali Handal on drums. The brass section includes Musa Mohamed Araci and Abdul Dhegey on saxophones, and Ali Dhere on trumpet. The rhythm section is complemented by Mohamed Ali Mohamed on bass and Yusuf Abdi Haji Aleevi “Alype” on guitar. Vocals are provided by Mukhtar Ramadan Idii, Shimaali Ahmed Shimaali, Sahra Abukar Dawo, Abdulahi Sharif Hasan "Baastow," Abdinur Adan Daljir, Mohamed Ahmed Qomaal, and Abdukadir Mayow Buunis. Abukar Dahir Qassim plays lead guitar, while Ahmed Dahir Qassim serves as the sound engineer. The band also features Ooyaaye Eise and Ali Bisha on congas, along with backing vocalists Mohamed Karma, Dahir Yaree, and Murjaan Ramandan.
