Dwight Yoakam is an American singer-songwriter, actor, and film director born on October 23, 1956, in Pikeville, Kentucky. He first recorded for Oak Records and was a former member of the Buzzin' Cousins. In addition to his music career, Yoakam has acted in films such as Sling Blade, The Newton Boys, and Panic Room.
