Earl Bostic was a prominent jazz and rhythm and blues alto saxophonist, born on April 25, 1913, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA. He made significant contributions as a recording artist, bandleader, and arranger throughout his career. Bostic passed away on October 28, 1965, in Rochester, New York, USA. Notably, many of his LPs released on King Records in the 500 to 600 series exist in two distinct versions: mono and stereo. While the tunes are the same in both versions, they differ in personnel and instrumentation, with the stereo recordings being made much later than the mono ones. Both versions share the same cover design, differing only by the "stereo designation."
