Earl Grant was an American jazz pianist, organist, and vocalist, who was also skilled in playing the trumpet and drums. He was born on January 20, 1931, in Idabel, Oklahoma. Grant's life was tragically cut short when he died in a car accident on June 10, 1970, in Lordsburg, New Mexico.
