Earth and Fire was a pop band from Voorschoten / Voorburg, Netherlands, featuring female vocalist and twin brothers Chris and Gerard Koerts, with Chris on guitar and Gerard on keyboards. The lineup also included bassist Hans Ziech and drummer Ton v.d. Kleij. The band achieved notable success with hits such as "Seasons" (1969), "Ruby is the One" (1970), "Wild & Exciting" (1970), "Invitation" (1971), "Memories" (1972), and "Storm & Thunder" from the album Song of the Marching Children (1971). As their music evolved, they began incorporating the Mellotron and synthesizers into their sound, alongside the Hammond organ. Earth and Fire released several acclaimed albums, including early works like Atlantis (1973) and Song of the Marching Children (1971). Their 1975 album To the World of the Future marked a shift towards more synthesizer use and emerging disco influences. Other albums in their discography include Gate to Infinity (1977), Reality Fills Fantasy (1979), Andromeda Girl (1981), In State of Flux (1982), and their 1989 reunion album Phoenix.
