Ebonee Webb is a funk formation hailing from Memphis, Tennessee. The group began their career in the early 1970s under the name Ebony Web, featuring founding members who later disbanded in the mid-70s. After regrouping with new members, they reemerged as Ebonee Webb and found success in Africa, Canada, and Japan. In the late 1970s, they released two albums exclusively in Japan. Three of the original members eventually formed another band. In the early 1980s, Ebonee Webb produced two acclaimed boogie funk albums in the United States under Capitol Records.
