Ebony Expressions was a soul group from Youngstown, Ohio, active in the 1970s. The members included Willie Peterson on trombone, Skip Martin as the lead singer, Clarence Ross, and Marvin Redding, who contributed to the songwriting. They recorded their first 45 at Owl in Columbus, featuring the ballad "Farewell My Love" and the uptempo track "Mighty Generation." Shortly after their initial release, the group changed their name to the Mighty Generation.
