Echo Minott is a Jamaican singer who grew up in the Maverley area of Kingston. He began his musical journey at a young age, participating in local talent contests and school concerts. At the age of 17, he achieved his first significant breakthrough by recording the album "Youthman Vibration" for the renowned producer Prince Jammy in 1980.
