Eddie & Ernie were a 1960s soul duo hailing from Phoenix, Arizona. Before their time as a duo, they sang in gospel groups and worked as backing vocalists starting in the early 1960s. They recorded their first tracks as a duo, initially known as Ernie & Eddie, in 1963, while also pursuing solo projects. Their most notable R&B hit, "Time Waits For No One," was released in 1965. In 1971, they joined a local group, and musically, they are often compared to other artists of their era.
