Edmundo Ros OBE, FRAM, born Edmund William Ross, was a Trinidadian-Venezuelan musician, vocalist, arranger, and bandleader who achieved prominence in Britain. He led a highly popular Latin American orchestra and had an extensive recording career, in addition to owning one of London's leading nightclubs. Although Ros retired in 1975, he occasionally returned for special occasions. He passed away peacefully at his home in Spain in 2011 at the age of 100.
