Edvard Grieg was a Norwegian composer and pianist, born in Bergen on June 15, 1843, and he passed away on September 4, 1907, also in Bergen. He is renowned for incorporating rhythmic and melodic elements from Norwegian folk music into his works, creating music that is both nationally romantic and patriotic. Grieg is perhaps best known for his compositions for Henrik Ibsen's play "Peer Gynt," which includes famous pieces such as "Morning Mood" and "In The Hall of The Mountain King." He is regarded as the greatest Norwegian composer of all time.
