The Edwards Generation, originally the Edwins family, relocated to the San Francisco Bay area in 1972, initially living in a motel for several months. By the mid-1970s, they had released at least one 45 RPM record titled ‘School Is In’ b/w ‘Someone Like You’ on Ghetto Records, as well as a full-length LP called ‘The Street Thang’ on Tight Records. The group also made several television appearances, including a feature on the Mike Douglas Show.
