Egisto Macchi was a renowned Italian composer born in Grosseto, Italy, in 1928. He created approximately 50 cinema soundtracks, primarily for Belgian and French films, and contributed musical commentary to around 1000 documentaries and television shows. Macchi studied music under Roman Vlad and Herman Scherchen. He passed away in August 1992.
