El Gran Fellove (born Francisco Fellove Valdés, 1923–2013) was a Cuban singer, composer, and showman celebrated for his energetic blend of guaracha, mambo, and early Afro-Cuban jazz. Emerging from Havana’s vibrant 1940s music scene, he became known for his scat-inspired vocal style and the infectious “chingalingo” rhythm he popularized. After relocating to Mexico, Fellove gained acclaim across Latin America for his exuberant performances and innovative spirit. His recordings remain a testament to his charisma and his pioneering contributions to Cuban popular music.
