El Amor is a pop/psychedelic rock band from Monterrey, Mexico, formed in the late 1960s. Originally a trio known as 'Los Pájaros', they changed their name to 'El Amor' in 1970 after collaborating with a producer and manager. The band consisted of members on drums, requinto guitar and vocals, and bass and vocals. In 1972, they expanded to a quartet with the addition of a member on keyboards, guitar, bass, and vocals. El Amor gained wider recognition following their performance at the 1971 'Festival Rock y Ruedas de Avándaro', where they performed their best-known song "Te Amo Más", recorded in both English and Spanish.
