El Escuadrón del Ritmo is a Mexican techno pop duo formed in 1982 by two unnamed members. After Alex left the duo, he was briefly replaced before starting another duo. They were pioneers in the use of synthesizers, drum machines, and sequencers in the underground Mexican rock scene and had the opportunity to be the opening act for some of the live performances of an unnamed artist.
