El Pooks was a soul group that emerged in the 1960s and 1970s from Aliquippa, Pennsylvania. The group later evolved into another form. The members of El Pooks included Lawrence 'Larry' Stringfield on lead guitar, Harold Stringfield on drums, Carl Stringfield as the lead vocalist, and Bobby Stringfield and Marlene Stringfield providing backup vocals. Eugene Peake played bass guitar, while Raleigh Doby contributed on saxophone and Charles Fisher played trombone.
