El Rego et ses Commandos is a Beninese band that originated in Cotonou, Dahomey (now Benin) in 1963. Initially formed under a different name, the band underwent several renamings, becoming Los Paras in 1964, then Los Commandos in 1965, and finally adopting the name El Rego et ses Commandos in 1966.
