Electrelane is a British indie rock band formed in 1998 in Brighton, England, by drummer Emma Gaze and multi-instrumentalist Verity Susman. The lineup evolved over the years, with guitarist Mia Clarke replacing Debbie Ball before the release of their debut album. Rachel Dalley played bass on their early singles and the first two studio albums, "Rock it to the Moon" and "The Power Out," before Ros Murray took over bass guitar duties in 2004. After their final show at Brighton's Pavilion Theatre on December 1, 2007, the band went on an indefinite hiatus. They reformed in 2011 for a few gigs, including summer festivals, and played more shows in 2012, returning to Australia and performing in Hong Kong. Since that final tour, Electrelane has returned to indefinite hiatus. In 2013, their studio albums were reissued on vinyl by the record label Too Pure.
