Elevation is a talented musician who learned to play the piano and organ at a young age. In 2001, he purchased DJ equipment and began creating music inspired by Armin van Buuren and DJ Tiësto. After upgrading his producing gear in 2003, he submitted his track "Clear Blue Sky" to renowned progressive trance artist Markus Schulz. Elevation's breakthrough came in 2004 when his track was released as "Clear Blue" on Armin van Buuren's label, Electronic Elements.
