Elkie Brooks is a British vocalist born on February 25, 1945, in Salford, Lancashire, England. She began her career singing jazz and later performed with the bands Dada and Vinegar Joe before pursuing a successful solo career. Elkie was married in the first half of the 1970s and later married again in 1978.
