Elmer Gantry's Velvet Opera is a rock group from London that originally performed R&B under the name The Five Proud Walkers. In 1967, they transitioned to a psychedelic sound and adopted their new name. The band continued to perform without their singer, Elmer Gantry, who is also known as Dave Terry.
