Elvis Crespo Díaz, born on July 30, 1971, in New York City, USA, is a prominent figure in the Latin music scene. Named after the legendary Elvis Presley, he spent his early years in Puerto Rico before returning to the United States at the age of 17. There, he began to cultivate his musical skills alongside talented Latin artists such as Leny Peréz. Crespo's career took off in 1994 when he joined a musical group, which provided him the opportunity to refine his craft until his departure in 1997. He then embarked on a solo career, releasing his debut album the following year, which established him as a leading artist in the Latin community and earned him his first Latin Grammy for Tropical Latin Album of the Year. Over the years, Crespo has released more than a dozen albums and various compilations, including a remix album and a live album recorded in Las Vegas. He has collaborated with numerous artists and has played a pivotal role in the formation of new groups. In 2009, he married his longtime manager, and they welcomed their first daughter shortly thereafter.
