Emilia Herrera, known as "La Niña Emilia," was a Colombian singer and songwriter celebrated for her contributions to Afro-Colombian and Caribbean folk music. Born in Evitar, Mahates, Bolívar, in 1932, she later moved to Barranquilla, where she passed away on September 15, 1993. Emilia was also a mother and had familial connections through her children, including Echenique.
