Emily Ritz is a musician and multidisciplinary visual artist whose work is deeply rooted in creativity. With over a decade of experience as a touring musician, she began her career in California, forming bands before moving back to upstate New York, where she self-released her first solo record, Pattern Recess, in 2018. Her sound blends classic elements of jazz and R&B with subtly unusual melodic choices and inventive electronic manipulation. Known for her complex harmonies and poignant lyrics, Emily released her sophomore album, In Love Alone, on January 1, 2021. This album explores the dualities of existence, contrasting loneliness with catharsis and solitude with love, and features roomy neo-soul arrangements with a psychedelic pop twist, produced in Northern California by Luke Temple of Here We Go Magic.
