EMINEM, born on October 17, 1972, in St. Joseph, Missouri, is a hip-hop artist and producer from Detroit, Michigan, USA. Commonly styled as EMINƎM and known for his alter ego Slim Shady, he began his professional music career in 1992 as a member of a group. That same year, he started his first record label with his group and later went on to join and own the label Shady Records.
