Emmett Miller (February 2, 1900 – March 29, 1962) was an American minstrel show performer and recording artist, renowned for his distinctive falsetto and yodel-like voice. He significantly influenced a variety of country music artists, including Hank Williams, Jimmie Rodgers, Bob Wills, Milton Brown, Tommy Duncan, and Merle Haggard. Miller's music serves as a bridge between old-time Southern music, minstrelsy, jazz, and western swing. For further reading, refer to "Where Dead Voices Gather" (2001).
