**En Vogue Bio** En Vogue is an American R&B/Soul vocal group formed in 1989 in Oakland, California. The original lineup consisted of Cindy Herron (Braggs), Terry Ellis, Maxine Jones, and Dawn Robinson. The group was assembled by producers Denzil Foster and Thomas McElroy following an open call for a female vocal ensemble. They achieved significant success with their first two albums, "Born To Sing" and "Funky Divas," along with a remix album and an EP. In 1997, Dawn Robinson left to pursue a solo career after forming the group Lucy Pearl. The remaining trio released two albums, "EV3" and "Masterpiece Theatre," which were less successful. In 2001, Amanda Cole (née Jones) joined the group, but Maxine Jones departed soon after to focus on her family. Cole recorded "The Gift Of Christmas" with Herron and Ellis before leaving in 2003 for a solo career, leading to Rhona Bennett's addition to the group. Maxine Jones briefly rejoined in 2003 to fill in for Herron during her maternity leave. In 2004, Herron returned, and the group released "Soul Flower." The original lineup reunited in 2005, performing on Stevie Wonder's latest album and at VH1's Hip Hop Honors alongside Salt 'N' Pepa.
