Enrico Farina was an Italian-Canadian singer, songwriter, producer, and record company executive active from the 1960s to the 1990s. Born on August 29, 1936, in Sora, Italy, he immigrated to Canada in 1952 at the age of 13. During the 1960s, he became Canada's top-selling singer in Italian language communities. In the early 1960s, he founded a music-related venture and released his first English tracks in 1975. Farina often co-wrote songs with his manager and traveled to Rome for orchestral arrangements, which he recorded there before completing production in Toronto. His career saw a revival in the 1990s, particularly in Asia, due to a series of tours and the popularity of karaoke. He passed away on June 2, 2007, in Toronto, Ontario.
