Enrique Neri was a talented Mexican jazz pianist born in 1945, who passed away on February 23, 2014. He developed a passion for music at a young age, and by the age of twelve, he was already performing with orchestras such as The Chuck Anderson's Orchestra, Luis Arcaraz, and Pablo Beltran Ruiz. From 1957 to 1960, he studied at the Conservatorio Nacional de Musica under notable instructors including Aura Pacheco, Carlos Jimenez Mabarak, and Rodolfo Halfter. Throughout his career, Neri contributed musical arrangements for prominent Mexican artists such as Jose Jose, Eugenia Leon, Guadalupe Pineda, and Vikki Carr. He also took part in recording sessions with musicians like Pedro Vargas, Armando Manzanero, and Marco Antonio Muñiz. Additionally, he served as Musical Director for renowned performers including Luis Miguel, Monna Bell, Carlos Lico, and Emmanuel. In the jazz genre, he shared the stage with artists such as Justo Almario, Abraham Laboriel, Oscar Stagnaro, and Clarence Penn.
