EPMD, which stands for Erick and Parrish Making Dollars, is a hip hop duo formed in 1987 in Brentwood, Long Island. Known for their monotone delivery and heavy use of funk samples, they distinguished themselves among East Coast hip hop groups. In the early 1990s, they formed the Hit Squad, a collective that included various artists. EPMD has dissolved and reunited twice but has been performing together since 2006.
