Eramus Hall is a soul group from Detroit, Michigan, formed in the late 1970s. The band was named by George Clinton of Parliament after he saw a building called "Eramus Hall" in Chicago. They released two albums that showcased a post P-Funk flavor, along with smooth soul sounds and tight jazz funk tracks. Eramus Hall signed to Westbound / Atlantic in 1977 and recorded their debut album that year, although it was not released until three years later.
