Eric Burdon & War is a multi-national R&B and Latin funk group based in Los Angeles, California. The band evolved from a collection of musicians previously known as The Creators, The Romeos, and Nightshift, who played the L.A. club circuit. They were discovered and promoted by a key figure who connected them with frontman, vocalist, and harmonica player Eric Burdon. The group released their first album in 1970. After Burdon's departure in 1971, the band continued to perform and record under the name War. In 1976, Eric Burdon & War reunited for a final, third album.
