Ernest Ranglin, born on June 19, 1932, in Manchester, Jamaica, is a renowned guitarist. He began his musical journey by playing the ukulele at a young age before switching to the guitar, performing with various local bands. Ranglin played a pivotal role in the emergence of the ska phenomenon during the 1950s, recording numerous tracks with a variety of musicians from Jamaica and the Bahamas. In 1964, he became the resident jazz guitarist at a jazz club in London, UK, for nine months, marking the beginning of his international career. Throughout his career, he has released several records and received various awards.
