Ernest Rogers was a newspaper man, radio announcer, and "citybilly" singer and guitarist from Atlanta, Georgia. He graduated from Emory University in 1920, where he founded the Emory Wheel newspaper. Rogers served as a columnist and editor for the Atlanta Journal from the 1920s until 1962 and appeared on radio station WSB. He recorded music in 1925, as well as in 1927 and 1928. Born on October 27, 1897, in Atlanta, Georgia, he passed away on October 9, 1967, in the same city.
