Errol Dixon, born Errol Barnes in 1939 in Clarendon Parish, Jamaica, was a notable singer who passed away in 2023. He began his musical journey performing in local nightclubs, where he focused on current standards and blues ballads. In 1957, he moved to Britain to study music but ended up dedicating more time to recording and performing in London clubs. His hit recording of "Midnight Train" achieved significant success, topping the charts in Jamaica for several months and also becoming a hit in England. Throughout his career, Errol frequently recorded music, often catering to the commercial market.
