E.R. Thorpe is a Nottingham-based artist who has recently returned after a brief relocation to Marlborough, Wiltshire. Formerly known as The Listeners, she is now embracing her individuality as a solo performer. Over the past decade, Thorpe has showcased her talent alongside a diverse range of artists, including Junip (Jose Gonzalez), Caitlin Rose, Kelly Oliver, Amelia Curran, Kathryn Tickell, and Bing Ji Ling. She has collaborated with Huw Costin of Torn Sail on the track 'Ricochets,' featuring Mark Lanegan for their album This Sweet Short Life. Additionally, Thorpe has contributed her vocals to Lunar Parks' latest material and has sung on recordings by her late father, acclaimed blues musician Kevin Thorpe. With a unique and evocative sound, Thorpe delivers performances that captivate her audience. Her music can be both willfully naive and meticulously crafted, characterized by her distinctive choice of chords and intricate finger-picking that creates a haunting atmosphere.
