**Bio: Essence Of Aura** Essence Of Aura emerged in Coventry during the early 1990s, becoming one of the UK's pioneering Drum & Bass producers. They were known for cutting up breaks and showcasing their sound at raves even before releasing vinyl. Between 1990 and 1995, they performed at numerous raves, including notable venues such as Amnesia House, Quest, The Eclipse, The Edge, Fibre-optic, New Age, and Pandemonium. Their impact on the scene was recognized when they were named the Midlands number 1 live PA by Pandemonium and highlighted in Muzik Magazine's 10 years of Acid House article as one of the most important Jungle artists of 1994. The group featured MC Hi-Fi, who was the resident MC at the renowned Edge club in Coventry. Essence Of Aura organized events, including the first-ever party in Kenilworth in January 1991 under the name Insomnia, which showcased DJ Ratty, DJ Pepsi, and marked DJ Fallout's debut gig. They were regulars at The Eclipse and The Edge, playing a significant role in Coventry's rave scene during its peak and contributing to the early development of the Drum & Bass movement. The group disbanded in 1996.
