Eugene McDaniels was an American singer, composer, and producer born on February 12, 1935, in Kansas City, Kansas. He passed away on July 29, 2011, at his home in Maine. Initially releasing music under the name Gene McDaniels, he transitioned to using his full name, Eugene McDaniels, after signing with Atlantic Records in 1970. He was also a father.
