Eugene McDaniels was an American singer, composer, and producer, born on February 12, 1935, in Kansas City, Kansas. He passed away on July 29, 2011, at his home in Maine. Initially, he released music under the name Gene McDaniels until 1970, when he signed with Atlantic Records and began using his full name, Eugene McDaniels. He was the father of two children.
