ExKurs is a German band that has been producing music since 1979, known for their unique blend of electronic music (EDM) that can be funky or painful, making it difficult to classify or categorize. The band was founded in 1979 and gained recognition in 1981 by winning the Senate Rock Competition, although they returned the prize shortly after. Their debut LP, "Fakten Sind Terror," was released in 1981 on the Konkurrenz label in Hamburg. After a break in 1984, the band's music was featured in compilations by the Gang DJ crew in 2003 and 2004, showcasing their work in cities like Paris, Milano, Geneva, Munich, and Zurich. In 2004, "Fakten Sind Terror" was re-released on CD with additional contemporary bonus pieces as a DVD by the NLW label in Hamburg. In 2018, a track from "Fakten Sind Terror" was included in a compilation.
