EyeHateGod is an American sludge band hailing from New Orleans, known for their misanthropic lyrics and a history marked by legal issues and struggles with addiction. The band initially broke up in 2000 but reformed five years later. Lead singer Mike Williams faced arrest in 2005 in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, but he was released in December of that same year with the support of fans. Tragically, on August 23, 2013, the band's drummer passed away. In late 2017, another member left, making EyeHateGod a four-piece for the first time in their career. The current lineup consists of Mike Williams on vocals, Jimmy Bower on guitar, Aaron Hill on drums, and Gary Mader on bass.
